British newspaper The Guardian reports that two self-driving buses have rolled out onto the public roads of Helsinki, alongside traffic and commuters, in one of the first trials of its kind.The trial follows our successful CityMobil2 small scale demonstration in the neighbouring town of Vantaa where the EasyMile EZ-10 vehicles traveled from Kivistö Railway Station to the Housing Fair 2015 (the largest summer event arranged annually in Finland).
Finland is becoming one of the most interesting countries in Europe to test automated technology since the Finnish law allows driver-less vehicles on the public road.
